Gamba supports Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google, Twitter, and Facebook. SSO simplifies registration and login, utilizing your existing accounts on these platforms.
Creating and Logging In with SSO
When creating an account or logging in with SSO, we retrieve the email from your SSO account. You'll then need to complete registration on Gamba by setting a username and a password. This setup enables you to log in either via your SSO or by using your username/email and password.
Note: Gamba requires an email to be retrieved from your SSO. If we cannot access your email from the SSO account, the registration or login attempt will be rejected. Every Gamba account must have an associated email, even those created through SSO.
Merging SSO Accounts
Gamba's merge feature adds an extra layer of convenience. If you create an account with an email and later try to log in with an SSO that uses the same email, our system triggers a merge account process. You'll be prompted to enter the password for the existing account. Once validated, the SSO is now merged with your Gamba account, providing another login method.
You can merge multiple SSOs to your Gamba account, provided they use the same email. This means you could log in via Google, Twitter, Facebook SSO, or your username/email and password - whichever is most convenient for you.
To manually merge SSO accounts, go to Settings and then the Security section. Remember, only SSOs with matching emails can be merged. If the email retrieved from the SSO is different, you'll be asked to create a separate account.
The merge feature is designed with security in mind. We require your login during the merging process to prevent unauthorized merges if one of your SSO accounts becomes compromised. This precaution ensures only you can add new login methods to your Gamba account.
