Why is 2FA Important?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a crucial layer of security that protects your account from unauthorized access. It requires you to provide two types of identification: something you know (your password), and something you have (a code generated by your authenticator app). This means even if someone learns your password, they still can't access your account without the 2FA code.
Activating 2FA on your Gamba account provides extra security for actions like withdrawals, tipping, password changes, and more. It's a highly recommended step for securing your digital assets.
How to Enable 2FA
Follow these steps to activate 2FA on your Gamba account:
Log into your Gamba account and navigate to the "Settings" page.
Go to the "Security" section and find the "Two-Factor Authentication" option.
Open your authenticator app on your device (such as Google Authenticator or Authy).
Scan the QR code displayed on the screen, or manually enter the provided private key into your authenticator app.
Your authenticator app will generate a 6-digit code. Enter this code, along with your Gamba account password, in the designated fields on the Gamba page.
Click "Enable 2FA".
You'll receive a confirmation email. Click on the confirmation link within this email to finalize the activation process.
Your 2FA is now active, providing an additional layer of security to your Gamba account.
Remember, every time you log in or perform secure actions on Gamba, you'll need to provide this 6-digit code.
How to Disable 2FA
While we strongly advocate for the use of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to maintain the highest level of security on your account, we understand there may be situations where you wish to disable it. Here's the process:
Log into your Gamba account and go to the "Settings" menu.
Click on the "Security" tab on the sidebar.
Under the Two-Factor Authentication section, you will find a form to disable 2FA.
Enter your current 6-digit 2FA code from your authenticator app along with your Gamba account password.
After successfully entering the information, click the "Disable" button.
This will trigger a confirmation email to be sent to the email linked to your Gamba account. You need to click on the link within this email to confirm the deactivation of 2FA.
Remember, disabling 2FA reduces the security measures on your account. We highly recommend keeping it enabled unless necessary. If you encounter any issues or have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team at [email protected] or through our 24/7 live chat service.
