Why Was My Sports Bet Rejected or Cancelled?

The reasons behind rejected or cancelled bets in sports betting

Updated this week

In rare cases, a sports bet on Gamba may be cancelled or rejected. Here are the most common reasons:

❌ Accidental Odds

If incorrect odds are listed due to a technical glitch or error, bets placed on those odds may be cancelled once the issue is discovered.

❓ Hard-to-Verify Events

Some bet types β€” especially prop bets β€” can be difficult to verify conclusively. In these cases, the bet may be cancelled.

🚩 Suspicious Matches

Gamba and our sports provider Betby monitor for compromised or rigged matches. If suspicions arise, all bets on that event may be cancelled to maintain platform integrity.

🎯 Invalid Parlay Bets

Parlay bets that breach Gamba's rules will be cancelled upon detection.

⚠️ Rule Violations

Bets may be cancelled for violating our terms and conditions, including involvement in arbitrage betting across different platforms.

πŸ“ Disputing a Cancellation

If you believe your bet was unjustly cancelled, you can submit a written claim to Gamba within 7 days of the bet decision. Betby's team, including their fraud prevention unit, will have 30 days to review and resolve your dispute.

Please note that Gamba and Betby retain the authority to cancel bets as per our terms and conditions.
